TACI, CCFU committed to fight GBV and SHRH in tororo district school sensitization
The Cross Cultural Foundation Uganda (CFFU)and Tieng Adhola Cultural Institution (TACI) have launched the "Culture for Her" project, a campaign promoting gender equity ,cultural responsive environment aims at reviving reforming re engineering negative practices and human rights in Tororo, Uganda.
Funded by UN Women, the initiative also aims at gender-based violence and sexual reproductive health rights.

Godfrey Owori the tororo district gender,youth and childrens officer urged learners to report rights violations and prioritize education.
Hon. Constance Adeka the deputy speaker of supreme assembly at tieng Adhola cultural institution urged learners to avoid joining night fundraising where they have become a prey to rape and defiloment and even assault by wrong gangs in the society.
Ochwo Michael cordinator at TACI and deputy clan leader of Orwa Bendo clan emphasized preserving positive cultural values and avoiding incest and GBV.
Adding incest is a capital offence which is only tried by high court in Uganda so he would not like his subjects to be part of the harsh punishment prescribed by the law
Schools visited included sopsop secondary school,Barinyanga,Sere,Nawire,per-per, Namwendia, Bere, St. Theresa Achilet and Rubongi Primary Schools
Julius Oburu from cross cultural foundation Uganda continued to emphasize on in case of rights violations urged the learners to report GBV and SRHR violations to authorities or cultural leaders.
Prioritize education and avoid harmful practices and Preserve positive cultural values that promote human right with efforts to promote cultural responsive environment in tororo district.
