Amagoro Central Clinches Victory in Talent Hunt Football Final Backed by Ochom Patrick Oguta


Tororo, Uganda— The vibrant grounds of Amagoro Primary School came alive this weekend as local football teams battled it out in a spirited tournament aimed at unearthing grassroots talent and rallying community support for leadership in Tororo Municipality.

The final match saw Amagoro Central Village edge out Senior Quarters with a narrow 1–0 win, drawing cheers from an enthusiastic crowd. The event was more than just a game it was a platform for youth empowerment and a rallying point for political mobilization.
Spearheading the initiative was Dan Ochola, a dedicated sports mobilizer and community coordinator, who emphasized the importance of sports in shaping disciplined and ambitious youth. He was joined by Oroni David, a district councillor and one of Uganda Cranes international, whose presence inspired many young players.
The tournament was organized with the support of prominent businessman Ochom Patrick Oguta, whose commitment to youth development and community upliftment has sparked growing calls for his candidacy as Member of Parliament for Tororo Municipality.
“This is about building a future where our youth have opportunities and our leaders are truly connected to the people,” said Ochom during the event. “Sports is a unifying force and a powerful tool for change.”

The tournament not only showcased emerging football talent but also served as a grassroots mobilization effort, signaling a new wave of civic engagement seeking for tororo municipality member of parliament  position 2026-2031.
